When we're being encouraged to spend more time in our local areas, getting exercise outside through walks and running, etc it seems more important than ever that the council prioritise making our pavements and pedestrian areas as safe as possible.
Pavements and kerbsides across Billericay and Burstead are uneven and dangerous providing numerous trip hazards. Queens Park Avenue, Perry Street, Norsey Road and Radford Way are all roads that this especially applies to.
Essex County Council and Essex Highways need to realise the importance of ensuring a safe environment for people to make full use of our local area.
We, the undersigned, believe that our roads and pavements are in such a bad state that they are dangerous for both pedestrians and road users. We call upon the Council to do more to make our roads and pavements safer for us to use, without fear of injury or damage.
